2 days devoted to learning how to use a 5x4 camera, develop film and black and white printing

Day 1

Learning how to successfully operate a 5x4 camera on location locally, including loading film holders, taking light meter readings, camera movements, film developing.

Day 2

Contact printing and making enlargements, exploring the potential of contrast control, dodging and burning

• The use of one of our large format cameras (if you have your own we can work with that also)

• Up to 4 sheets of black and white film

• Film processing chemicals

• Darkroom paper

5x4 Large Format Photography 1 day course

A single day devoted to learning the basics of large format photography

You will learn how to successfully operate a 5x4 camera on location locally, including loading film holders, taking light meter readings, camera movements and film developing only

what’s included-

• The use of one of our large format cameras (if you have your own we can work with that also)

• Up to 4 sheets of black and white film

• Film processing chemicals

• Tea and coffee

1 Day Film Photography workshop 10a.m-4p.m (Saturdays only)

Choose the format you would like to work with, 35mm or Medium format, it’s a non stop day of learning how to operate analogue equipment, shooting, processing and printing!

What’s included-

• Equipment hire for the day

• 1 black and white film

• Chemicals to process film

• The use of a traditional darkroom

• Print chemistry and photographic paper to make a contact print and small prints.
